Thanksgiving

This year we spent Thanksgiving in St. George with the Rocks. We followed a fun Rock Family tradition that happens every couple of years, Chuck-a-Rama!  Jeff headed out at 8:30 to get a good spot in line, 2nd guy there!  He took his guitar and actually ended up playing for the crowd.  His sister-in-law brought her violin and joined in with him. They even had people give them money! The food was great, but the best part was no cooking and no cleanup!

Sorry about the fuzzy spots on the pictures, we didn't realize Owen had mashed potatoes on his finger when he touched the lens.

Owen loves mashed potatoes!

After eating we headed over to the bowling alley for some fun!

Great Grandpa Rock with Owen and Meav

Nice form!

Owen was all smiles

Apparently all you can eat at Chuck-a-Rama just wasn't enough, because after bowling we all came back to our house for pie and ice cream and other yummies.  We finished off with a couple rousing rounds of charades.  All in all, a fabulous day, but the party didn't end there.

That night my parents drove down and spent two days with us.  My mom and I did some shopping Friday afternoon (luckily we missed the crazy Black Friday crowds).  Friday night Jeff and I were able to go to a movie (only our second since Owen was born) while Grandma and Grandpa babysat.  Jeff will say I dragged him the latest Twilight movie, but he loved every minute of it!

Owen got some Chevron cars from Grandpa Van Bibber and he loves them!
He's even making car sounds as he drives them around.

Listen close at the end of this video and you can hear him say his first word!

The next day was spent at Zion. It was beautiful afternoon, perfect for a little hiking.

This was the only picture we got with either of my parents. Sorry Mom and Dad! We sure loved having you stay with us!
