Owen's First Surgery

October 4th, Owen had his first surgery. After having 3 ear infections within 2 months, and the anti-biotics having no effect, we decided to have tubes put in his ears.

He was so brave!! Yes, he did cry at first, but after a little medication to calm him down he was fine.

He came through the surgery like a champ! Luckily for Mommy & Daddy it only lasted about 15 minutes, which meant only 15 minutes of worrying.

Even though all 3 of us were under the weather, we still had a fun day together! 

We spent the evening at Staheli Farm, a local, real working farm with a pumpkin patch, petting zoo, corn mazes, games, hay rides, and all kinds of fun things for the family.

We took a hay ride up to the pumpkin patch and for a visit to WickaDee, the resident witch.  She was so great and fun! She even made some witches brew for us. Yum!

Owen loved helping Daddy pick out the perfect pumpkin :) 

We couldn't leave before playing at the playground. Owen loves his "wee!" (swing).

Last we ended the night with some trick-or-treating in our ward.  Owen LOVED it and he was so good. He walked the entire time (over an hour) and would not let go of his treat bucket.  He never actually said trick-or-treat, but he always said "Thank you!" He was always very particular about choosing which candy he wanted too. He took his time choosing exactly which one he wanted, but that's how he is about everything :)  I think Jeff and I had just as much fun, if not more, than Owen did.

Someone discovered what a great big canvas the kitchen wall can be. I'm happy to report this did not happen on my watch, or Jeff's.  Grandma was babysitting and I guess she got a little distracted.  

He LOVES to drive the car!

Still loves bath time. He likes to practice swimming on his tummy and kicking his legs. 

We discovered Daddy's stash of Hot Wheels cars and he was in heaven!! He's played with them everyday since.

Someone can now get out of his crib. Aack! This is how I found him after a nap.  He loves Morty the Moose and reading books with him. 

After a 3 month absence, we finally hit the park again when cousin Ellyn was visiting. We only lasted about 20 minutes though because it is still way too hot here.

Bear Lake...Once Again!

Owen and I enjoyed another fun trip to Bear Lake! We sure missed Daddy though, he was home working hard for us. We love him to pieces for that!

Emma caught a lizard! This girl's not afraid of anything.

I think Grandma is more worried than Owen is. 

Good Morning! I love waking up to the beautiful view from our property, and to this cute boy!

He even got to drive!

This mommy's still got it! After a 3 year absence from the sport, I still got up on my first try. 

And of course, it wouldn't be Bear Lake without FFF (Forced Family Fun) compliments of my Mom. This year was Minute to Win It games.

And of the course, the annual bike ride on the Bear Lake Trail. 

Can't wait to do it all again next year!
