Our First Christmas Together

Our first Christmas together was spent with the Van Bibbers in Ogden. We spent 5 fun, family and food filled days with them. Daniel and Hannah were even able to come from Ohio to spend a couple of weeks with family. It was so fun to have everyone together for the holidays.
On Christmas Eve we spent the afternoon bowling, eating, and playing games. Carly gets a strike!!

That night we had a family dinner with Grandma and Grandpa Z and Sister Herrington, my parent's neighbor. We had all my favorite foods including: Yummy Potatoes, Ham, and Green Bean Casserole, YUM YUM!! Thanks to Mom and Grandma for such a delicious dinner!
After dinner we had a fun gift exchange between sibilings and an intense ping-pong tournament with Daniel as the reigning champ and a foosball competition where Daniel and Taylor came out as winners. For those who tried their hand unsucessfully at foosball (mostly the girls) we played Boggle.

We ended the night on a spiritual note with a reminder of what the Christmas is really about. Stories and Testimonies were shared and it was a perfect ending to a great day.

Christmas morning was the usual exciting, much anticipated, present opening affair it always is. Taylor graciously let us sleep in until 8:00 am before he woke us up with his booming yells.

Good lookin' sweater and hat for Jeff

We spent Christmas afternoon and evening at Laura and Quinn's house playing the Wi, eating, playing with Emma, eating, playing Quinn's new games, eating, and just having a great time with family.
The rest of the week was spent shopping, relaxing, and of course EATING! Why do we always eat so much at the holidays??
We also had the annual Van Bibber Christmas Party. We had lunch, played basketball, chatted, and had a gift exchange for the small kids.
After the party we headed to Temple Square to hear Dad and the choir that he's in sing. They performed at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building and at the Assembly Hall. They were great!! Temple square was beautiful as usual and full of lights and the spirit of Christmas with nativity scenes in two places.
