Weekend in Ogden

Last weekend, Jeff and I were able to ditch school and work to have some fun :) Our day started at 5:00 am on Friday as we drove to Draper for Jeff's best friend's wedding. The reason we left so early was because we weren't sure what traffic would be like and we were slated to hit Provo at peak traffic time. Lo and behold, we sailed right through Utah County with no problems. Since we had made such good time, we had an hour to kill before the wedding so we drove up in the neighborhoods by the temple and stopped for a little morning walk. We stopped at an empty lot on the hillside just above the temple and bushwacked our way through all the bushes and shrubs to the edge to get a good view of the temple, and this is what we found:

After a fun day of pictures, and friends, and a luncheon, we headed to Ogden to spend the rest of the weekend with my family. We got an added bonus of spending the entire weekend with my niece Emma while her parents were out of town and she was staying with Grandma. We love playing with her and we did all kinds of things:

Played on the swings...

Helped Aunt Annie water the flowers...

Colored...

And of course read lots of books, with Papa's help too :)

We also had bath time!

We attempted to brush her teeth as mom had instructed us to do before bed, but we're just not as good as mommy because we couldn't get the little stinker to open her mouth. Notice Grandpa holding her down while I try to force her mouth open - what a jaw she's got! Sorry Laura, no clean teeth for Emma.

And we went to church!
Annie, Jeff, and I spent some time wandering along Historic 25th Street and had fun posing with the horses and looking at all the fun shops.

Thanks Mom and Dad for letting us stay for the weekend! We love you!
